Vlocity Installation Assistant
To finish installing or upgrading, then configuring Vlocity, use the Vlocity Installation Assistant to guide you through all the steps that will lead you to a complete and functional product experience.
Before using the Vlocity Installation Assistant, you must install the managed package for the product you are installing for the first time or upgrading.
Vlocity Installation Assistant isn't supported with the Summer '22 package and later releases.
Enable My Domain in Salesforce
Before you begin, make sure that My Domain in Salesforce is enabled before you install the package. This is required to view the Lightning Component Tabs that the Vlocity Installation Assistant uses.
To enable My Domain, see the Salesforce documentation.
Make sure you have selected the option, Deploy to Users, on the My Domain page.
- Check System Overview Settings
Before using the Vlocity Installation Assistant to guide you through all the installation steps, you must verify the resources in the System Overview. - Install the Installation Assistant Package
The Vlocity Installation Assistant is included in the package that you must install. If you are upgrading Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy, then from Setup > Quick Find > Installed packages, uninstall any version of the Vlocity Installation Assistant that is not exactly the same version of the Assistant you plan to use. Then, install the version you plan to use. If the installed version matches the version you want to use, then do not uninstall or reinstall the Assistant. - Use the Vlocity Installation Assistant
Perform the steps in this section to complete installation or upgrade tasks for CME or CLM after you have installed the managed package.
