Configure a Path Assistant on Engagement Interactions

To enable users to track the progress of an engagement interaction visually, configure a path assistant.

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Path Settings, then select Path Settings.
          2. Click Enable.
          3. Click New Path.
          4. Enter a path name.
The API reference name is automatically populated with the string entered in Path Name.
          5. Select Engagement Interaction as the object.
          6. Select the record type.
If there aren’t any custom record types, Master is selected by default.
          7. Select the picklist that the path assistant uses.
For example, select Status. Steps for each path are based on picklist values that you select.
          8. Click Next.
          9. Select the fields that you want your users to see. Then, provide guidance for each step in the path. The Status field in the Engagement Interaction object is dynamic with the default picklist values New, In Progress, and Completed. These values are selected by default in the path.
          10. Click Next and activate the path.
          11. To display a celebratory animation when users complete the path, enable celebrations.
          12. Click Finish. You’ll be redirected to the Path Settings home page.
