Connect to External Billing Systems with MuleSoft Direct for Energy & Utilities Cloud
The Anypoint Exchange now has MuleSoft Direct which is a sample MuleSoft application that can be integrated with external billing applications and Energy and Utility applications.
Integrate the Energy and Utility apps with external billing systems like powercloud using a sample MuleSoft application from Anypoint Exchange. Extend the Energy and Utility Contact Center Console capabilities to gather data from legacy backend systems and gain a 360 - degree view of your customers.
Where: The datapack is available in the Energy and Utilities Cloud Integration API Suite repository . The assets for the sample Anypoint application are available in the MuleSoft Public Exchange.
Who: You need the EAndUCloudMulesoftAssetIntegrationPsl Permission Set Licence and the EAndUCloudMulesoftAssetIntegration Permission Set to register MuleSoft with Salesforce, access the sample Anypoint assets, and install them in MuleSoft. You also need to have existing MuleSoft and powercloud accounts.
Why: You can use the MuleSoft Direct application to integrate with powercloud billing systems and use these process flows:

360 Process Flow: Get the 360-degree view of your customers’ accounts including account balance, bills, and consumption details.

Move In: Create accounts for new customers.

Add Meter Read: Enable customers to add meter readings to their accounts.

Update your orgs to Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy Winter '23 and install the Integration Procedures datapacks from the Energy and Utilities Cloud Integration API Suite repository .

Configure the Industry Integration Solutions APIs and assets by following the documentation from Industry Integration Solutions.

Update your MuleSoft instance with the MuleSoft Direct application assets from Anypoint Exchange.

Add credentials of your external billing application in MuleSoft Runtime Manager.
