Connect Salesforce and MuleSoft Instances Using Connected App or User Credentials

Securely connect your Salesforce and MuleSoft instances by logging in to your MuleSoft Anypoint Platform account or by using the credentials from a connected app in your MuleSoft instance.

Required Editions

Enable access to MuleSoft Direct integrations before you connect your Salesforce and MuleSoft instances.

Available in: all editions
User Permissions Needed
To connect Salesforce and MuleSoft instances:

Salesforce Administrator profile

AND

MuleSoft Administrator profile

  1. In Setup, find and select MuleSoft Direct.
  2. Click Connect to MuleSoft.
  3. Select a server based on your region, and then click Next.
  4. Select User Credentials or Connected app credentials, and click Next.
  5. For the User Credentials option, enter the username and password of your MuleSoft Anypoint Platform account, and then click Sign In.
  6. For the Connected App Credentials option,
    1. Create a connected app in your MuleSoft instance, and add the required scopes to generate a client ID and secret.
      If you're not a MuleSoft admin, request a MuleSoft admin to create the app and share its client ID and secret with you.
    2. On the Connected app credentials pane, enter the client ID and client secret, and then click Next.

Your Salesforce and MuleSoft instances are now connected. You can view the connection details and the available integrations.
