          Create a Version of a Standard Decision Matrix

          Creating a version of an existing decision matrix is quicker than creating a matrix from nothing. You can create a new version from a matrix version that has at least one input and one output columns.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
          Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions for clouds that have Business Rules Engine enabled
          User Permissions Needed
          To create, update, and delete decision matrices and matrix versions: Rule Engine Designer
          To use decision matrices in Business Rules Engine: Rule Engine Runtime
          1. Click App explorer icon., and then find and select Business Rules Engine.
          2. Click the app navigation menu, and then select Lookup Tables.
          3. Click the link of the decision matrix for which you're creating another version.
          4. On the record page of the matrix, on the Related tab, click New.
          5. Enter a name and a version number for your new decision matrix version.
            For standard matrices, Salesforce recommends specifying the decision matrix name with a Vn suffix and a number that's one greater than the current version number.
          6. Add a start date time and, if necessary, an end date time for the version.
            Tip
            Tip Set the start date time for the new version to the end date time of the previous version. Or set a start date time before the end date time of the previous version, and then set different rank numbers for the versions.
          7. Enter a rank.
          8. Save your work.
          9. Click the link for the version that you created.
          10. Enter the row data:
            • To enter new row data from a CSV file, click Upload CSV File, and then upload the appropriate file from your computer.
              Important
              Important Ensure that the column names in the CSV file and the decision matrix match exactly.

              If after uploading the CSV file you don't see the rows, refresh the browser.

            • To enter row data from a previous version of the matrix:
              1. Download the decision matrix data to a CSV file.
              2. Click Upload CSV File, and then upload the appropriate file from your computer.
            • To enter data manually:
              1. Click Add Row.
              2. To add row data, click a table cell, click Pencil icmodify a matrix cell. in the cell, and then enter the value.
          11. Save your changes.
          12. Activate your decision matrix version:
            Expression sets can call only active matrix versions.
            1. From the actions menu for the decision matrix version, select Edit | Enabled.
            2. Save your work.
