          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Custom Key Performance Indicators, and then select Custom Key Performance Indicators.
          2. Click New.
To search for a specific KPI name, use the search field.
          3. Name your custom KPI, and enter a description.
            Note
Note The KPI name can contain special characters, but can’t exceed 255 characters. The developer name is automatically filled and can’t contain special characters except the underscore. The developer name must be unique. It must not include spaces, end with an underscore, or contain two consecutive underscores.
          4. Select a target object.
          5. Click Start.
          6. To calculate the KPI, select a function on the Function tab.
          7. To perform the function on a target object field, select the field.
The page shows only the fields that the selected function supports.
          8. To filter the records that you want to perform the selected function on, click the Filters tab and add up to three conditions.
You can edit and migrate the legacy custom KPIs that contain up to three filter conditions to another Salesforce org.
          9. Review the KPI details, and save your changes.

The custom KPI is saved and appears on the Custom Key Performance Indicators page. List creators can now select the custom KPI and add it to KPI Bar. You can clone, edit, or delete a custom KPI by clicking Down arrow icon. If you delete a custom KPI, it’s removed from KPI Bar and the Custom Key Performance Indicators page. If you clone a custom KPI, the name of the new KPI is prefixed with 'Clone of '.
