Define Business Rules
Use the Document Decision Requirement object to specify the criteria that the Document Matrix element uses to determine which documents the respondent must upload for an assessment.

- From the App Launcher, find and select Document Decision Requirements.
- From the Document Decision Requirements list view, click New.
- Enter a name.

To provide help text for users when uploading documents, enter help text.
The help text appears on the assessment form for users when they’re uploading documents.

To create a decision rule that uses document category as a decision criteria:
- From the Document Reference Object dropdown list, select Document Category.
- Search and select the document category.
For example, when uploading documents, users can select a document category and then select a document type that’s associated with the document category. -
To create a decision rule that uses document type as a decision criteria:
- From the Document Reference Object dropdown list, select Document Type.
- Search and select the document type.
Document types can include driving licenses, student ID cards, and other types of identification. -
To indicate to the user whether a document upload for a document category or document type
is required, select Is Upload Required.
If you select Is Upload Required, the Document Matrix component shows an asterisk next to a document upload field. However, the component doesn’t check if the user has uploaded the document. This means that the user could still submit the assessment without uploading the required document.

In the Context text field, provide the context for this business rule, if necessary.
Context helps classify the document decision requirement records based on business rules. For example, Address Update, Phone or Email Update, and so on.
- Save your changes.
Create additional document decision requirement records for other business rules.
