Manage Document Template Versions for Omnistudio Document Generation
When you create a new version of a document template, the settings and Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint file from the previous version are copied to the new version. You can delete the file and upload a new file if necessary.
You can create a new version of an active template. If a template isn’t active, the Create New Version button doesn’t appear. If you activate the new template version, the previous version is deactivated.
To create a new document template version:
- Go to the Document Template tab.
- Expand the template for which to create a new version.
- Click the template name.
- Click Create New Version.
- Edit the template details.
- Click Save Template Details.
-
Click Activate.
Activating the new template deactivates the previous template and changes the version.
Update a Document Template

To update a document template:
- Go to the Document Template tab.
- Expand the template to update.
- Click Edit.
- Click Deactivate Template.
- Edit the template details.
- To activate the template, click Activate.
