Configure Omnistudio Document Generation
Omnistudio Document Generation helps you generate various types of documents such as quotes, proposals, and contracts by using Salesforce data. Learn how to set up document generation, implement custom fonts, and create digital experience users.

Prerequisites
Before you can use Omnistudio Document Generation, install the Omnistudio Foundation package and perform the post installation configuration.
Next configure Omnistudio Document Generation features. Follow these instructions:
- Personas and Permission Set Licenses for Omnistudio Document Generation
Users interact with document generation in different ways, depending on their roles and the specific features being used. Personas define what different types of users can do with Omnistudio Document Generation. Each persona is mapped to specific responsibilities and permission sets that determine the level of access a user has. - Configure Browser-Based Preview for Omnistudio Document Generation
Configure the browser and remote site settings for proper handling of PDF files in the previewer. In the Industries Communications, Media, Energy & Utilities (CME), Insurance (INS), Vlocity Government (PS), and Omnistudio for Managed Packages, not all document generation objects are accessible by default through the DocGen permission sets. Assign additional permissions for these objects to ensure successful document generation. - Manage Custom Fonts in Omnistudio Document Generation

Insert images such as product photos, barcodes, or pie charts in your generated DOCX and PDF documents by using image tokens in a Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint document template. - Set Up Digital Experience Users for Document Generation
Give Customer Community (CC), Customer Community Plus (CCplus), and Partner Community users permissions for the Document Generation Processes object. Additionally, grant read and edit access for specific fields for a successful document generation from the digital experience sites. - Set Up Community Guest Users for Document Generation
Assign read and create permissions for the Document Generation Processes object within the custom permission sets. Additionally, grant read and edit access for specific fields for a successful document generation from the digital experience sites. - Considerations for Earlier Versions of Omnistudio Document Generation
Most Salesforce customers are using the modern version of Omnistudio Document Generation, sometimes called "Document Generation 2.0". However, if you haven't upgraded to "Document Generation 2.0", you will need to take action to bring your org up to speed.
