General Limitations
- Browser-based previewer
- To ensure the correct .docx and .pdf files are downloaded, use the download button.
- PDF preview isn’t available on mobile browsers. Use the Download button to save and open the PDF with your preferred app.
- For other limitations, see Content file preview issues.
- When you preview a generated document in the browser-based previewer, the title displayed in the preview header defaults to renditionDownload instead of the actual document name. To view the correct file name, download the document.
- Tracked changes (redlines) may not render correctly in the document preview, such as when you import a document version that contains redlines. Some changes can appear missing or misaligned, although the document content remains intact. To review changes accurately, download the document and open it in Microsoft 365 to view insertions and deletions inline.
- Custom Fonts
- Each custom font file must be under defined file size limit. 5 MB is the default limit.
- The total size of the Docgen Custom Fonts Library must not exceed 100 MB.
- Zip custom font files aren’t supported
- Merge PDF
- The multiDocxLwc Omniscript successfully creates up to 10 documents and supports a final merged PDF of up to 25 MB.
- Bullet and Indentation
- Static and dynamic bullet styles change from a dot to a hollow bullet in some cases.
- Multi-level bullet points in DOCX files have inconsistent indentation.
- Formatting
- Italic formatting in formulas changes to normal style.
- Certain checkboxes display a ? symbol after the checkbox.
- The square checkbox symbol (□) in Wingdings font converts to a ? in PDFs.
- Smiley checkbox symbols are replaced with a standard tick symbol in PDFs.
- PDF Document Properties
- The system doesn't set the Show option in the Initial Tab of the PDF properties to Document Title, leading to incorrect title behavior in PDF viewers.
- Omniscripts
- In client-side document generation, if the document preview takes longer than three minutes to load, and the attachFileFormat and downloadFileFomat document generation options set to only Word, the preview won't display. Instead, you'll be prompted to download the file to view its contents.
- Partner Community User
- Server-Side Document Generation isn't supported when invoked by a Partner Community User via the Salesforce REST API.
