Select Templates for CLM or Omnistudio DocGen

If you installed the Omnistudio package before installing the Salesforce Industry package in your org, selecting either the Vlocity Document Templates or Document Template Designer tab asks you which template type you want to create. You’re redirected to the appropriate tab for your choice. The Vlocity Document Templates lets you create CLM templates. The Document Template Designer tab lets you create Omnistudio Document Generation templates.

1. From the App Launcher, select either Vlocity Document Templates or Document Template Designer.
2. In the Select the Document Templates window, choose one of these options:

   • Vlocity Web Template — Redirects to the Vlocity Document Templates tab for CLM templates

   • Vlocity DOCX Template for Contract Management — Redirects to the Vlocity Document Templates tab for CLM templates

   • DOCX or PPTX Template for all other purposes — Redirects to the Document Template Designer tab for Omnistudio Document Generation templates

3. Click Next.
4. Create your Document Template:

   • To create a web template, see Vlocity Web Templates.

   • To create a DOCX template for Contract Management, see Creating a Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint Template.

   • To create a DOCX or PPTX template for Omnistudio Document Generation, see Create a Microsoft Word or Microsoft PowerPoint Template for Omnistudio Document Generation.
