Set Up Community Guest Users for Document Generation
Assign read and create permissions for the Document Generation Processes object within the custom permission sets. Additionally, grant read and edit access for specific fields for a successful document generation from the digital experience sites.

Note Community Guest Users are supported only in Industries Communications, Media, Energy &
Utilities (CME), and Insurance (INS) managed packages. You can skip these instructions if you're
not using these managed packages.

Provide access for Document Generation Processes object.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, select it.
- Click your custom permission set, such as Vlocity CLM Guest User, and then click Object Settings.
- Click Document Generation Processes, and then click Edit.
- In Object Permissions, select Read and Create permissions.
- In Field Permissions, select Read Access and Edit Access for fields.
- In Field Permissions, select Read Access for ResponseText.
- Save your changes.

Provide community guest users access to their digital experience sites.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter All Sites, select it.
- Next to the name of the existing community site that you want the guest user to access, click Builder.
- Click Settings.
- Under the General tab, click the guest user profile link.
- Click Edit.
- In Standard Object Permissions, scroll to Document Generation Processes and select Read access.

Similarly, provide read access to the objects that the community guest user uses for
document generation.
For example, if the guest user uses the OpportunityID to generate a document, provide read access for the Opportunity object.
- Save your changes.
- Similarly, provide access to all the digital experience sites where you have set up community guest users.

Set up sharing rules to provide guest users read access to records, according to the
rule.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Sharing and select Sharing Settings.
- In Manage sharing settings for, select Document Generation Processes.
- Scroll to Document Generation Process Sharing Rules, and click New.
- Define required fields, such as label and rule name.
- In rule type, select Guest user access, based on criteria.
- In records to be shared, select field as Created By ID, operator as starts with, and value as 005.
- Save your changes.
