Run and Troubleshoot a Data Processing Engine Definition from the Builder

Running a Data Processing Engine (DPE) definition from the builder is a powerful way to test and validate your data transformations before you create flows to run the definition on a schedule or as part of a business process. When you start a run from the builder, select debug modes to troubleshoot definitions on a filtered subset of records and view intermediate outputs without performing a final writeback.

          Required Editions

          • Understand How Data Processing Engine Debug Modes Work
Before you run a definition from the builder to test how a definition transforms data and writes back results, understand how each debug mode works and what to expect from the debug modes after a definition's run completes. You can run a definition with multiple debug modes selected.
          • Run a Data Processing Engine Definition from the Builder
Run or test an active Data Processing Engine definition at any time from the builder. When running a definition from the builder, you can provide input variable values that are used only for that run. You can run the definition in a debug mode to save additional information about the definition’s run.
