Energy and Utilities Cloud Spring '23 Release Overview

Energy and Utilities Cloud Spring '23 Release Overview

Experience better runtime performance for Customer Acquisition Management with JSONAttribute v2 schema. Build closer relationships with your customers by using the Actionable Relationship Center, Actions, Timeline, and Customer Interest Tagging in the Contact Center Console app. Add and deploy new tabs faster in the Utility Self Service Portal. Create customers and contracts in external billing systems with the new Integrations API Endpoint.

          Note
Note As the Energy and Utilities cloud uses the CME managed package, the release notes also include the following updates to the CME managed package.
          • Required Upgrade to OAuth 2.0 for DocuSign Integration in Energy and Utilities
For Vlocity Document Generation, you must upgrade to OAuth 2.0 to manage DocuSign.
          • Automatic Upgrades
Starting Spring '23, we're moving our Communications, Media, and Energy managed packages to the Salesforce automatic upgrade process. Through this process, we align with the Salesforce seasonal release cycle, where new features are delivered three times a year (Summer, Winter, and Spring). With automatic upgrades, you can opt in to effortlessly upgrade your sandbox and production environments, preview new releases in your sandbox, and always stay on the latest release. You're also provided early access to upcoming releases in your sandbox preview environment so that you can complete internal testing before pushing to production.
          • Get Better Performance and Storage for Customer Acquisition Management Enhancements
The Customer Acquisition Management application now uses the JSONAttribute v2 Schema by default, which gives you better performance and storage capabilities.
          • Build Closer Relationships with Energy & Utilities Contact Center Console
Your customer support agents can build better relationships and improve customer satisfaction by using the new Actionable Relationship Center to customize relationships, Action Launcher to search the complete VPL quickly and run business actions, Timeline to create and see past cases or interactions of customers on one page, and Customer Interest Tagging from the Profile tab to mark customer’s interests and build personalized relationships. Agents can also organize tags into categories to further group customers based on their service needs, interests, or concerns.
          • Deploy Tabs Faster in Utility Self Service Portal
Now deploy new tabs as separate community pages faster through Digital Experience Builder. Your customers can now gain insights into their energy consumption by using the Energy and Gas Usage chart.
          • Create Customers and Contracts in External Billing Systems
The Energy and Utilties Integrations APIs are enhanced to provide a wider range of control over external billing systems.
