Application Approval Process (Managed Package)

Automate the application approval process for energy and utility programs such as Clean Energy Programs, EV charger installation services, and rebates for energy-efficient appliances.

This app is part of the Energy and Utilities Cloud managed package.

The application approval process streamlines your business unit's application approval process using these flows:

• Scheduled Application Approval: This schedule-triggered flow launches the approval process on a schedule.
• Trigger Application Approval: This auto-launched flow validates the application details and launches action plan templates.
• Process Approved Application: This record-triggered flow creates a program enrollment record once the application status is approved.

Application Approval Process Summary

The Scheduled Application Approval flow runs once a day for all submitted applications. For each submitted application, the schedule-triggered flow launches the Trigger Application Approval flow.

The Trigger Application Approval flow:

• Validates the fields in each submitted individual application.

• Fetches the objects associated with the individual application.

• Passes the program name to the expression set, and gathers the output to decide if the application must be approved, rejected, or sent for manual approval. See Configure Business Rules Engine Objects for Application Approval Template.

• Creates action plans for manual approval. See Configure Action Plan Templates for Application Approval Template.

• Launches a request for manual approval by using approval processes. Configure Approval Processes for Application Approval Template.

The Process Approved Application flow launches automatically when an application status is set to Approved. The flow creates a program enrollment record for approved applications.

Note To manually reject an application, you must add a rejection reason on the Application Detail page, and then click Reject.
