Salesforce Industries Features for Energy & Utilities Cloud

Energy & Utilities Cloud is built to work with a variety of Salesforce Industries features. Learn more about each one and the powerful array of tools available to you as an Energy & Utilities Cloud customer.

          Action Launcher

With Action Launcher, your service agents can quickly find and launch actions to help resolve customer requests and issues. For example, agents can initiate a fee-reversal flow or launch a service-order action from Action Launcher.

To learn more about Action Launcher, visit Action Launcher.

          Action Plans

An action plan defines the tasks and other items needed to complete a business process. Each task has a priority, a number of days in which it must be completed, and a person who is responsible. Action plans are created from action plan templates, which allow you to capture repeatable tasks. Users see the tasks assigned to them through task lists and views.

To learn more about Action Plans, visit Action Plans.

          Actionable Relationship Center (ARC)

Use Actionable Relationship Center to track and visualize account, premises, service point, and asset relationships.

Actionable Relationship Center (ARC) lets you view your customers' relationships in an easy-to-navigate graph. ARC helps you understand relationships among people and businesses by presenting them in interactive components.

To learn more about ARC, visit Actionable Relationship Center (ARC).

          Audit Trail

Use Audit Trails to monitor and analyze the identity verification audit records of customers and detect potential compliance fraud or identity breaches.

To learn more more about Audit Trails, visit Audit Trails in Identity Verification.

          Business Rules Engine

Business Rules Engine (BRE) lets you build powerful calculations to automate complex decisions. Rules created with Business Rule Engine are easy to maintain, and integrate directly with Flow, OmniStudio, and third-party workflow tools using connect APIs. Energy companies use BRE to automate energy savings calculations, determine eligibility, automate rebate or incentive calculations and much more.

To learn more about Business Rules Engine, visit Get Started with Business Rules Engine.

          Data Processing Engine

Data Processing Engine (DPE) helps you transform data that's available in your Salesforce org and write back the transformation results as new or updated records. You can transform the data for standard and custom objects, and analytics datasets using Data Processing Engine definitions. Energy companies use DPE for batch processing of metrics data for reporting and tracking.

To learn more about Data Processing Engine, visit Data Processing Engine.

          Dynamic Assessments

Design a guided questionnaire to assess a facility or account by using detailed assessment questions and tasks that include conditional logic and dependencies. Then, create a quote or recommendation that provides the services and parts that the account needs based on the assessment results.

During intake, for example, your dynamic assessment asks whether the facility has a boiler that is over 15 years old. If the answer is yes, a new set of questions opens up to capture equipment details.

Assessments can also be used to measure outcomes. For example, an auditor may conduct an assessment on equipment at a facility at the beginning, middle, and end of a program to track outcome progress and regulatory requirements.

To learn more about Dynamic Assessments, visit Configure Dynamic Assessments.

          Identity Verification

Set up Identity Verification to enable service agents to verify the identity of incoming calls, and follow guided processes for assisting new and existing customers.

To learn more, visit Identity Verification in Industries.

          Note
Note To use Identity Verification, your org must have Salesforce Open CTI installed. See Install Salesforce Open CTI for Contact Center Console.

          Interest Tags

With Interest Tags, your service agents can capture the needs and interests of your customers and then offer services that appeal them the most.

Group similar interest tags into tag categories, which can then be used to create reports showing common themes and interests across your customers.

To learn more about Interest tags, visit Interest Tags.

          OmniStudio

Create guided interaction experiences for your customers, agents, and sales team with data from your Salesforce org and external sources. And you can do it with drag-and-drop setup and low-code tools. Many user interface elements and workflows are built in Energy & Utilities cloud using OmniStudio. Use OmniStudio FlexCards, OmniScripts, Data Mappers, and Integration Procedures to customize these interfaces and workflows for your business.

          To learn more, visit OmniStudio.

          Timeline

A timeline lets users see data from objects as a sequence of events happening over time. You determine what information shows on the timeline by choosing the base (or primary) object and the related objects.

To learn more about Timeline, visit View Events Using Timeline in Salesforce.
