Build an Interest Tags Report
Build a report to show Interest Tags assigned to records, grouped by Tag Categories.

Note The Interest Tags object is a virtual object on the Topics object. To view Interest Tags,
you must build a report using the Topics object.

Build a custom report type:
- From Setup, enter Report Types in the Quick Find box, then select Report Types.
- Click New Custom Report Type and select the Primary Object Tag Categories.
- Enter a Report Type Label, Report Type Name, and Description.
- Select a category to store the custom report type, select a Deployment Status, and click Next.

Click (Click to relate another object) and click Select
Object. Then select Topics. This step defines which
related records from other objects are displayed in the report results.
- Save the custom report type.

Build a report that groups interest tags by tag category name.
- From the reports tab, click New Report.
- Choose your custom report type, then click Continue.
- Customize the report outline, click Add Group… and select Category Name.
- Click Add column... and select Topic: Name, Description, and Topic Assignment: Name.
- Customize the report filters, click Filters. Customize Show Me and Created Date filters.
- To show interest tags applied to specific objects, select Add Filter… and select Record Key Prefix.

Enter the prefix of the object by which you want to filter.
To find the record key prefix for an object, open a record and copy the first 3 characters of the record ID in the URL.
- Save your report.

To view interest tag assignments, run the report.

From the Reports tab, select your report.
Topic: Name - Interest tag name.
Description - Interest tag description.
Topic Assignment: Name - The record the interest tag is assigned to.

From the Reports tab, select your report.
