Create forms to collect information from customers, applicants, constituents, and other
respondents. Discovery Framework uses Omnistudio, which provides a declarative way to create
complex forms that use branching, rendering, and forking logic.
From the App Launcher, enter Assessment Questions, and then select
Assessment Questions.
Change the list view to All Assessment Questions.
Click Select Questions.
Enter Omniscript details.
In the Omniscript Details section, provide high-level metadata about your Omniscript
such as Name, Language, Type, and SubType.
The Type, SubType, and Language values combine to create a unique identifier that
becomes the name of a compiled Omniscript Lightning web component. For example, an Omniscript
in which Type=account, SubType=Create, and Language=English generates an LWC named
accountCreateEnglish.
Create the steps in your form.
Steps correspond to the questions in your form. You can group multiple questions in a
single step. Also, you can create multiple steps in a single form.
To create a step, click Add Step.
To change the step title, click the edit icon on the step header, enter the step name,
and then press Enter.
Search for questions, and then add them.
The search engine looks for matches to the search term across assessment question records
and assessment question version records. This table lists the searchable fields for the
Assessment Question and Assessment Question Version objects.
This operation creates an Omniscript that’s of type Discovery Framework for the
form, and then opens the Omniscript in the Omniscript Designer on a new tab. You can use
Omniscript Designer to build the layout of the form, configure the UI elements, define
branching and rendering logic for the form, preview the form, and more.
Next, use Omniscript Designer to lay out and customize the form. To open an existing
Omniscript in Omniscript Designer, from the App Launcher, find and select
Omniscripts. Then click the required
Omniscript.
