Configure Form and Application Components
Use Form Framework components on Lightning record pages and Experience Cloud sites to guide users through completing and reviewing forms. The default compact layout for the object determines the fields that Salesforce shows to the applicant in each section. All form components, including Overview, Section, and Review, are fully responsive and mobile-friendly for a powerful user experience on any device.

Add Form Overview to a Record Page
The form overview component organizes sections into tasks so applicants can quickly see what needs attention. When the applicant clicks Edit or View in a form section, the app sends the applicant to the Form Section component.
- Drag Form Overview on the Lightning record or Experience Cloud page.

Select a form section configuration that matches the task or form section the user
performs on this record page.
For example, on an Application Review record page, select Application Review.

If needed, select a form sections path.
If there’s only one valid option, Salesforce completes this field for you.
- To group the required sections on the form, select Group required sections.
- To add badges that indicate required sections, select Indicate if the section is required or optional.
Add Form Review to a Record Page
The form review component shows all sections and the details that the applicant provides on one page.
- Drag Form Overview on the Lightning record or Experience Cloud page.

Select a form section configuration that matches the task or form section that the
user performs on this record page.
For example, on an Application Review record page, select Application Review.

If needed, select a form sections path.
If there’s only one valid option, Salesforce completes this field for you.
Add Form Section to a Record Page
The form section component shows a single section of the form.
- Drag Form Overview on the Lightning record or Experience Cloud page.

Select a form section configuration that matches the task or form section that the
user performs on this record page.
For example, on an Application Review record page, select Application Review.

Select a render method:
Option Description View if Submitted This option dynamically shows unsubmitted sections in edit mode and submitted sections in view mode. Task or section records, such as individual application tasks or intake form sections, create the sections in your form. Salesforce considers these records submitted when users select Submitted. Edit This option shows the section in edit mode regardless of the submission status. View This option shows the section in view mode regardless of the submission status.
