Behavioral Health App
Give users a 360-degree view of the behavioral or mental healthcare journeys of patients with the Behavioral Health app. Behavioral health and intake specialists can view a timeline of key events and engagements, capture assessments, and perform the common tasks in a patient’s behavioral health journey, from intake through sessions with specialists.

The Behavioral Health app uses these Health Cloud and common Salesforce components to support behavioral health and intake specialists. We recommend setting up these components first, especially Provider Search, Intelligent Appointment Management, and Virtual Care, which have many configuration steps. After you set up these components, you can set up the Behavioral Health app more easily.

Action Launcher: Provides quick actions that are contextualized for the Behavioral Health app.

Advanced Patient Card: Provides a complete view of the patient’s health data, including medication requests, health conditions, allergies, and immunization details. Specialists can also create the related records from the patient card.

Care Barriers: Shows barriers and related social determinants of health (SDOH) so that behavioral health and intake specialists can create intervention tasks to mitigate avoidable adverse health events.
- Care Plans: Shows a patient’s care plans and the conditions, social determinants, goals, action plans, and interventions that comprise the care plans. Specialists can use the New Care Plan button to launch an Omniscript for creating a care plan.

Clinical Service Requests: Shows requests for procedures and diagnostic services.

Enhanced Timeline: Provides specialists with views of assessments, clinical information, engagement data, and the patient’s life story. Specialists can also create records for objects configured to appear on the timeline.

Insurance Plan: Provides a plan overview including medical coverage or benefits.

Intelligent Appointment Management: Provides a component where specialists can schedule the right appointment with the right provider at the right time and location.

Member Plan Card: Shows a list of the member’s insurance plans with details like start and end date, issuer number, and Payer ID.

Patient Medication Manager: Helps providers and care coordinators manage the medication regimen of their patients, helping to improve patient safety and reduce healthcare costs.

Notes: Tracks a specialist’s clinical notes, observations, and therapy or session notes.

Patient Assessments: Shows available, not started, and completed assessments. Specialists can access responses to completed assessments, capture an incomplete assessment that was sent to a patient, conduct an assessment, or send a set of assessments to a patient to complete.

Profile Card: Shows basic information such as name and age, and contact information.

Provider Search: Gives specialists a way to find providers based on criteria such as location and specialty, and share those details with clients.

Record Alerts: Informs specialists about changes in records that require attention.

Virtual Care: Enables care from anywhere through video visits.
- Assign Behavioral Health App Permission Sets to Users
Provide behavioral or mental healthcare specialists and intake specialists with the permission sets required to use the Behavioral Health app. Permission set licenses are assigned by default when you assign permission sets to users. - Set Up the Behavioral Health App
Before your users can start using the Behavioral Health app, enable the app and follow guided setup steps to enable and configure related components. - Configure the Person Account Page Layout for the Behavioral Health App
Customize the Person Account record page with content relevant to behavioral health specialists and then set the page as the default person account page for the Behavioral Health app. In the Behavioral Health app, behavioral health specialists can capture clinical notes, verify the member’s insurance plan details, and view clinical service requests and medication statements at a glance. - Configure Assessments for the Behavioral Health App
Assessments help behavioral health specialists gain a better understanding of a client’s mental health status. To use and customize samples of standard AUDIT-C, GAD-7, PHQ-9, intake, risk, and safety plan assessments, install Omnistudio, enable Discovery Framework, and deploy sample templates. - Configure an Action Launcher Deployment in the Behavioral Health App
