          Set Up Disease Surveillance Analytics for Public Health

          Analyze disease spread and public health trends by setting up Disease Surveillance Analytics. Use Data 360 to consolidate public health data across systems. Deploy the required data kits and the Disease Surveillance Analytics app to provide public health officials with a single, comprehensive view of disease trends, critical case metrics, and demographic analysis.

          User Permissions Needed
          To embed disease surveillance dashboards:

          Disease Surveillance permission set

          AND

          Data Cloud Architect permission set

          To view the dashboards: Tableau Next Limited Consumer permission set

          Before you set up disease surveillance analytics, turn on:

          1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Public Health, and then select Public Health Analytics Settings.
          2. In the guided setup, check if Data 360 is enabled on your Salesforce org.
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Data Cloud Setup, and select Data Cloud Setup Home.
            If Data 360 is enabled, you can see details regarding your Data 360 instance on your home org along with your org’s details.
          3. To enable data exchange between your org and Data 360, connect Data 360 to your Salesforce org.
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Salesforce CRM, and then select Salesforce CRM.
            2. Click New.
            3. Select Connect to a Salesforce org.
            4. After your org is connected, verify that the connection is visible and active.
          4. Assign the Data Cloud Architect permission set to yourself.
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Users, and then select Users.
            2. Select your own user name.
            3. In the Permission Set Assignments section, click Edit Assignments.
            4. In the Available Permission Sets, select Data Cloud Architect, then click Add.
            5. Save your changes.
          5. To ingest data into Data 360, add these system permissions to the Data Cloud Salesforce Connector permission set:
            1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission, and then select Permission Sets.
            2. Select Data Cloud Salesforce Connector .
            3. Select System Permissions.
            4. Click Edit, then select Gives users access to the LPI features, Manage Industries Visit, and Disease Surveillance.
          6. To make the necessary data available, structured, and ready for visualization, deploy these data kits in this order:
            • HealthCloud Administrative
            • HealthCloud Clinical
            • HealthCloud Provider
            • Disease Surveillance
            Note
            Note If you already have the data kits deployed in Salesforce, redeploy them to access the recent changes.
          7. In the Install Disease Surveillance Analytics application section, select the data space where you want to install the dashboards, and click Install. If the installation fails, use an API tool to delete the app and repeat the setup steps. To retrieve the ID of the app you want to delete, send a GET request to /services/data/{version}/app-framework/apps. Then, use the ID to send a DELETE request to /services/data/{version}/app-framework/apps/{id}.

          Public health officials can see the Epidemiological Insights and Case Insights tabs in the Disease Surveillance app.
