            Set Up Recurring Jobs for Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization

            Set up Enhanced Scheduling and Optimization jobs that run every day and optimize your field resource utilization. We recommend scheduling these jobs to run after business hours or right before the business day starts so that the optimization accounts for last-minute changes in scheduling.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Health Cloud and the Home Health Add-on license
            User Permissions Needed
            To update Field Service settings Field Service Admin permission set
            1. From the App Launcher, open the Field Service Admin app, and then select Field Service Settings.
            2. Click Optimization and click Scheduled Jobs.
            3. Click New Job and enter a name for the job you’re scheduling.
            4. Set the Automator Type to Optimization.
            5. Save your job.
            6. Expand the job you created.
            7. For Frequency, select Recurring.
            8. Select the recurring frequency and recurring time based on your organization's requirements.
            9. In the Effective Territories section, select the service territories that this job optimizes scheduling for.
            10. Set an appropriate value for Time Horizon in days.
            11. In Scheduling Policy, select the scheduling policy you want to use for resource assignment.
            12. In Email recipient user name , enter the email address where you want to receive notifications about failed jobs.
            13. Save your configurations and set the job to Active.

            That’s it! You’re done setting up the enhanced scheduling and optimization job.
