Get to Know the Census Management Workflow for Group Benefits Quoting

The Quote Census Lightning web component gives users a straightforward way to incorporate census data into a quote. After a Salesforce admin configures the component and incorporates it into workflows, insurance carrier administrators and brokers upload census data, identify and correct data exceptions, and turn quotes into contracts.

The Quote Census Lightning web components insGroupCensus and insOSGroupCensus work with the Salesforce data model's Group Census and Group Census Member objects. To continue to use the Vlocity data model, use the Insurance and Health Managed package Lightning web components insCensus and inOSCensus.

          • Upload Group Census Data to a Quote
To incorporate census information into a Group Benefits quote, upload it. The group member and dependent data in the census is used to create accurate quotes.
          • Manage Group Census Data in a Quote
Browse through details about group members, dependents, and plan selections. Add, edit, or delete participant data as needed.
          • Correct Group Census Data in a Quote
The Quote Census Lightning web component identifies incomplete and invalid census member records by using the trigger and validation rules configured by a Salesforce admin. Zero in on data issues and correct them.
          • Rate the Product in a Group Benefits Quote
After uploading and correcting census data, rate the selected products. If census data continues to change, the rate automatically gets recalculated.
