Harmonize Your Insurance Org
The Salesforce data model is the Digital Insurance Platform of choice. If you use the Vlocity package data model, the process of switching to the Salesforce data model is called harmonization. It involves using new objects and services that integrate seamlessly into the Salesforce Customer 360 platform. To benefit from new and enhanced features in the future, you must move to the Salesforce data model.
- Plan Your Switch to the Salesforce Data Model
Switching to the Salesforce data model ensures you get new and enhanced features for the Digital Insurance Platform in the future. But it's up to you whether to harmonize, and when. It's a large undertaking that requires an analysis of your org, and potentially updates to custom components. - Harmonize Insurance Policies
To benefit from new and enhanced Insurance Policy features in the future, harmonize existing data and move to the Salesforce data model. - Harmonize Claims
To benefit from new and enhanced Claims features in the future, harmonize existing data and move to the Salesforce data model. - Harmonize Group Benefits
To benefit from new and enhanced Group Benefits features in the future, harmonize existing data and move to the Salesforce data model. - Enable or Disable the Insurance Industries Extension Data Model
When you install or upgrade to the Insurance managed package and the Insurance Industries Extension package, the Insurance Policy core object model is automatically enabled. But if you're upgrading and you're not prepared to use the Insurance Policy core object model yet, use a custom setting to disable the use of the core object model until you're ready to make the switch. - Harmonized LWCs and Services
You don't have to do anything special to make harmonized LWCs and services work with your harmonized data. They work as well with the Salesforce object model as they do with the Vlocity managed package object model.
