Learn About the Digital Insurance Platform
The Digital Insurance Platform is built on top of Salesforce and provides components for policy administration, benefit administration, claims, and billing systems used by the insurance industry vertical.
For details about the data model that underlies Insurance, see Insurance and Financial Services Data Model.
An organization, or org, is a Salesforce deployment with a defined set of licensed users. An org is the virtual space provided to an individual Salesforce customer. Your org includes all your data and applications, and it is separate from all other orgs.
Insurance guardrails (guidelines and limits) help you get the most out of Insurance. Guidelines define best practice recommendations to optimize your adoption of the Insurance product for best performance. Limits are boundaries beyond which features are unavailable or performance is throttled. Contact your Salesforce account team to learn more about these guidelines and limitations and how they can impact your setup.
For usage restrictions that apply to this product, see this document.
