          Time Off Territory

          Time Off Territory

Manage and govern how your users log their time away from their assigned territories. Configure time input modes and overlapping rules to ensure time-off entries align with business policies and prevent conflicts with planned activities.

          Required Editions

Configure Time Off Territory to provide your users with flexible logging options, allowing them to record their time off using predefined slots or specific user-defined time ranges. Set up validation rules and working day settings to enforce consistent behavior while accommodating different operational needs.

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise and Unlimited Editions with Life Sciences Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud for Customer Engagement Add-on license, and the Life Sciences Customer Engagement managed package.
          • Get Your Org Ready for Time Off Territory
Before using Time Off Territory, configure the necessary business hours and validation settings. These prerequisites ensure time-off entries align with your working hours, prevent scheduling conflicts, and maintain a consistent scheduling experience.
          • Configure Time Input Modes and Time Slots
Define how your users log time for Time Off Territory events. You can standardize intervals such as Morning or Full Day to simplify multi-day entries. Based on your configuration, users log their time off using predefined slots, specific date and time ranges, or a hybrid mode.
          • Configure Time Off Territory Rules
Control how Time Off Territory (TOT) events interact with other activities. These rules determine whether TOT events can be created alongside other activities, helping prevent scheduling conflicts and ensuring alignment with organizational policies.
          • Configure Working Days Calculation for Activity Plans
Define how working days are calculated for activity plans based on business hours, holidays, and Time Off Territory (TOT) events. These org-level settings define how TOT types are used for the working days calculation and ensure that they are included in the batch job used for recalculating working days.
