Media Proposal and Plan Customizations with Ad Availability View Configuration

Media Proposal and Plan Customizations with Ad Availability View Configuration

The Media Plan and Proposal Configuration setting adds a list of Ad Availability View Configuration records in Salesforce. Ad Availability View Configuration records drive the configuration of the different pages, components, tabs, modals, and buttons that media planners and sales reps interact with when configuring media plans and media proposals. Admins can edit the records to decide what media planners and sales reps can interact with. Or, admins can create records based on what they want media planners and sales reps to view or engage with based on the company's requirements.

          • How Ad Availability View Configuration Records Work
Each Ad Availability View Configuration record consists of a few critical field values that dictate how each record drives the configuration of pages, tabs, modals, and buttons that media planners and sales reps interact with while working on media proposals and media plans.
          • Default Ad Availability View Configuration Records
Review the list of Ad Availability View Configuration records that are provided with Advertising Sales Management and understand what each record does and how the records can be customized.
          • Proposal Builder Customizations with Ad Availability View Configuration (Beta)
Media planners and sales reps use the Proposal Builder to create media proposals that respond to request for proposals (RFPs). Admins can customize the Proposal Builder components to ensure that media planners and sales reps have access to information and quick actions that are most relevant to them when they work on media proposals
          • Media Plan Customizations with Ad Availability View Configuration
Media planners and sales reps create media plans to manage the complete quoting process for media campaigns of advertisers. Admins can customize various media plan aspects to tailor media plans based on the company's unique quoting process requirements.
          • Create Ad Availability View Configuration Records for Media Plan Amendments
After a media planner or sales rep activates an advertisement campaign order, an ad operations specialist can initiate an amendment from the order record page. Salesforce then creates an amended media plan that includes the information from the standard line item fields in the original media plan. If ad quote lines and their child records are included in the context definition, they're copied from the original media plan to the new media plan. To set the original quote and order to the Amended status, admins create an Ad Availability View Configuration record. To copy custom quote line item fields from the original media plan to the amended one, can create another such record.
          • Create Ad Availability View Configuration Record for Pricing Model
Advertising Sales Management supports two ad product pricing models by default: CPM and CPC. To ensure that media planners and sales reps can select between the two pricing models for the ad placements in their media plans, admins must add a Ad Availability View Configuration record for the two pricing models.
          • Considerations for Working with Ad Availability View Configuration Records
There are a few things that you must keep in mind while working with Ad Availability View Configuration records to ensure that you are able to make the most of the customization choices provided with the records.
