Before You Begin
Before creating media plans, be sure that you Configure Advertising Sales Management (Managed Package) and Set Up Media Ad Sales Data (Managed Package).
Ad sales in Advertising Sales Management are powered by Industries CPQ. Before creating media plans, familiarize yourself with Order Capture in Industries CPQ.
Media Plans Overview
Media plans help you organize your ad sales process by providing a step-by-step path that links the entire sales process together. Let's look at the sales process in detail:

Create Media Opportunity. This is a prerequisite for the media-planning process.

Create Media Plan. From the opportunity, create a media plan and specify ad placement selections. The media plan represents the quote for the sales opportunity.

Approve the Quote and Generate a Contract for Signature.

Create and Submit the Order. Once the order is signed, use Industries Order Management to route the media plan's line items to ad servers.

Process the Order. Send the order through an Order Management orchestration plan. Order line items are sent to the ad server, along with all targeting criteria and details about the ad placement.

Add Creatives. Add creatives to ad servers using Ad Operations.

- Create a Media Opportunity
The first step in the order capture flow is to create an opportunity in Advertising Sales Management. An opportunity represents a pending deal. After you create an opportunity, you can create a media plan and submit the quote for approval. - Create and Submit a Media Plan for Approval
