Set Up Media Ad Sales Data (Managed Package)
Learn how to build out your ad sales data for Advertising Sales Management and begin to sell, book, and monetize your multimedia advertising campaigns effectively and efficiently.
This is an Advertising Sales Management on Managed Package feature. For Advertising Sales
Management on Salesforce Platform, see Advertising
Sales Management on Salesforce Platform.
Ensure that you have completed all the tasks to deploy and configure Advertising Sales Management before you set up your ad sales data.
To set up media ad sales data, create records including:
-
Ad Server Records
-
Print, Digital, TV , and Radio Ad Products
After you've created the necessary Advertising Sales Management ad data, you can enter opportunities and convert them to orders.
The opportunity to order process follows this workflow:
-
Create an Opportunity. The opportunity is the entity for which you create the media plan.
-
Create and Submit a Media Plan for Approval. The media plan contains all the line item information such as budget, product, pricing, and ad placement details. After you submit the media plan, you can generate a quote for approval.
-
Approve Quotes and Generate Contracts. The quote must be approved for the contract to be generated. After you generate the contract, send it to the customer to digitally sign.
-
Create and Submit an Ad Sales Order. This is the final step in the workflow. After the contract has been signed, create and submit the order to Industries Order Management through the CPQ QuoteToOrder API. As part of this process, you must also complete a mandatory manual step in Google Ad Manager to associate a creative with the order.
- Create Accounts for Media Ad Sales
There are three account types that you can create in Advertising Sales Management: Advertiser, Agency, and Brand. - Create Ad Server Records
Create these records to support ad server integration with Advertising Sales Management. - Import Demographic Codes to Advertising Sales Management
A demographic code is unique for a specific combination of audience attributes. Specify a demographic code for your TV ad placements and make sure your advertisement reaches the intended target audience. - Set Up Date Range Based Rate Types
Create the required picklists, add picklist values, and update object types to support the addition of rate types based on date ranges (such as Cost per Week or Cost per Day). You need to perform these steps only one time in your Advertising Sales Management org. If you’ve already performed any of these steps in your org, you can skip that particular step and proceed to the next step. - Set Up Print Media Ad Products
To sell print media placements through Advertising Sales Management, create your print media ad product records. - Set Up Digital Media Products
To sell digital media placements through Advertising Sales Management, create your digital media ad product records. - Set Up TV Ad Products
To sell TV ad placements through Advertising Sales Management, set up your TV ad product records. - Set Up Radio Ad Products
To sell radio ad placements through Advertising Sales Management, set up your radio ad product records. - Associated Media Bundles Setup
Use associated media bundles to deliver integrated proposals to advertisers and agencies. Set up auto-add rules so that when you add a product to the media planning grid, associated products across media types are automatically added. To support associated media bundles, extend the media placement grid configuration to honor package codes and product codes. Advertising Sales Management uses Business Rules Engine (BRE) and Omnistudio components to support the addition of associated media placements to the media planning grid. - Create Ad Space Groups in Advertising Sales Management
In Advertising Sales Management, you can group multiple Ad Spaces into an Ad Space Group.
