Use Subscriber Lifecycle Management as an Anonymous User

Use Subscriber Lifecycle Management as an Anonymous User

An anonymous user is someone who's browsing your community page without logging in. It could be a subscriber who hasn't logged in yet or it could be a potential subscriber who hasn't created an account yet but might want to. An anonymous user can embark on the buy journey, which allows them to browse products, select products along with add-ons and promotional offers, and then sign up to create an account and complete their purchase.

          Note
          Note

Existing subscribers wouldn't use the buy journey. They would log in and use the Subscription page to manage their subscription.

Here's a description of an anonymous user's journey.

          1. The user opens the customer portal in a web browser. This page displays signature content and add-ons.

          2. The user clicks either Watch Now or All Packages.

            The signature packages are displayed.

          3. The user selects one of the signature packages.

A selection of add-ons is displayed.

          4. The user can view details of each add-on and select the ones they want to add. The user's selections are displayed and updated dynamically along with the payment amounts. The user can remove add-ons or they can go back and change their signature package selection. If the user discontinues the session (but doesn't exit the browser), they can resume and complete their order later on.

          5. Next, a selection of channels is displayed. The user can select the channels they want and modify their selections as required.

          6. The user can also specify if they want the services delivered on multiple screens. For each additional screen, a subscription fee, an STB device, and a shipping fee are added to the order.

          7. The user specifies if they want the services to be available on a mobile device as well. If they select this option, a subscription fee is added to the order.

          8. The user can opt to upgrade to Ultra HD. If they select this option, a subscription fee is added to the order.

          9. A confirmation screen displays the STB devices the user will receive. If the user confirms the order, the sign-up journey is launched.

          10. The user provides the required information, including an email ID, first and last name, and a password. The user must accept the terms and conditions to proceed.

          11. The user continues through the subsequent screens providing their address and payment details.

          12. The user confirms the order. An order is created along with an account and contact for the subscriber. The user can now perform tasks related to managing their subscription, billing, or payment options. See Use Subscriber Lifecycle Management as a Logged in Subscriber.
