          Data Auditing

          Data Auditing

Complete the final internal and external auditing processes to validate and then verify the validity of your carbon calculations.

          Internal Audits

Ask admins to give internal auditors access to the app by assigning them the Net Zero Cloud Auditor profile. Internal audits validate primary data and emissions factors to ensure that they are calculated accurately. Internal auditors can use Chatter to post questions and communicate investigation results. You can change a record’s stage to Internal Audit to indicate that the record completed the auditing process.

          External Audits

Ask admins to add external users to the app by assigning them the Net Zero Cloud Auditor profile, which provides read-only access to the carbon footprint data. External audits are the final validation and verification steps in the carbon accounting process. You can change a record’s stage to External Audit to indicate that the record completed the auditing process.

          • Export Carbon Calculations
Export the greenhouse gas emissions calculations used in the annual emissions inventory and carbon footprints to audit Net Zero Cloud calculations. Auditors can view the original values used in the calculations and verify the calculations in the energy use records related to Stationary Asset Carbon Footprints, Vehicle Asset Carbon Footprints, Scope 3 Carbon Footprint, and Annual Emissions Inventory.
