          Create CDP Disclosures Report With the Net Zero Cloud Template

          Use the CDP disclosures template on the Disclosure and Compliance Hub to create disclosures that your company shares with external shareholders as part of your CDP report. You can create a comprehensive disclosures report and submit the report to the CDP portal.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions with the Net Zero Cloud Growth license
          Permission Set Needed
          To use the Disclosure and Compliance Hub: Disclosure and Compliance Hub User permission set
          To generate disclosure documents:

          Omnistudio Admin permission set

          OR

          Omnistudio User permission set

          AND

          DocGen Designer permission set

          To create, read, edit, and delete data in custom objects for electronic submission of disclosure reports to CDP: Manage Custom Objects for Reporting to CDP

          Confirm that your admin installed the Net Zero Cloud Disclosures For CDP managed package. See Install Net Zero Cloud Disclosures Managed Packages.

          For ‌best performance, Salesforce recommends limiting the total number of records retrieved by SOQL queries to 50,000 records per Apex transaction. See Apex Governor Limits.

          Confirm that your organization is registered with CDP, and has made Salesforce Net Zero Cloud your partner for e-submission of your CDP reports to the CDP portal.

          The CDP report template version 3 includes the 2024 CDP Climate Change Questionnaire. For 2025, Net Zero Cloud objects are updated to gather the latest climate change data. Use the audit-grade data to manually populate the online CDP report. For questions about Disclosure and Compliance Hub, contact your Salesforce account executive. Make purchasing decisions based on currently available products and features.

          1. Create a disclosure.
            1. From the App Launcher, find and select Disclosures and Compliance Hub.
            2. From the Disclosures and Compliance Hub menu, select Disclosures and Compliance Hub.
            3. Click New.
            4. Enter the disclosure name, status, and the dates that it covers.
            5. From the Category dropdown, select Environment, Social, and Governance.
            6. From the Disclosure Type dropdown, select CDP.
            7. From the Disclosure Definition dropdown, select Salesforce Disclosure Template for CDP Submission.
            8. From the Disclosure Definition Version dropdown, select SFDC V3 E-Submission to CDP 2024.
              The disclosure definition version links to the Omniscript used for assessment.

              Note CDP SFDC 2023 V1 and V2 are no longer supported.

              Note You can replicate responses from previous year’s disclosures by selecting a disclosure from the Replicate Responses From list.
            9. Save your changes.
          2. Set up the report details.
            1. Verify or select the start and end dates, and the account to report on, and click Next.
            2. To validate that your organization has registered Salesforce as your partner for e-submission of disclosures to the CDP portal, select Yes, enter your organization’s name, and click Validate with CDP.
            3. To validate your organization's registration with CDP at a later time before the e-submission of disclosures to the CDP portal, select No and click Proceed.
            4. Select the sectors that your organization earns revenue from, and click Next.
            5. Select the report data sources, and click Next.
            6. Select the climate change modules to report, and click Next.
            7. Add your responses to the questions.

              To get the responses from Net Zero Cloud, click Get Data from Net Zero Cloud.

              To get data from previously answered questions, click Get Data.

              Note To get responses from Net Zero Cloud, you must have an annual emissions inventory for the selected year.

              Currently, the electronic submission of files to CDP isn't supported. You must upload your files to CDP only through the CDP portal.

            8. Save your responses.
              Net Zero Cloud stores your responses in an Assessment record.
          3. To download the generated report, open the disclosure record, and click the disclosure document URL.

            Note The disclosure document URL takes a few seconds to appear. If the document URL doesn’t appear, refresh the page.
          4. To submit the report to CDP, open the disclosure record, and click Submit to CDP.
          5. If you haven’t validated Salesforce as your partner for e-submission of disclosures to the CDP portal, select Yes, enter your organization’s name, and click Validate.
          6. Click Submit Disclosure to CDP.
          7. To review and complete the submission, go to the CDP portal and submit the responses.
          • Resubmit Failed Responses to CDP
            To ensure complete and accurate data submission, enhancing compliance and data integrity, resubmit any failed responses to CDP. For 2025, Net Zero Cloud objects are updated to gather the latest climate change data. Use the audit-grade data to manually populate the online CDP report.
