          Lock Records

          Lock Records

Lock footprint records to ensure appropriate governance of your sustainability data. Locking footprint records ensures that no data changes are made to the footprint or underlying energy use records, generated waste, or the procurement data entry records after the footprint is completed and finalized. Lock records that you don’t want to be recalculated manually or by a system process. When you lock a footprint record, all energy use or generated waste records associated with that footprint are locked.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience
Available in: Enterprise, Performance, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
          Permission Set Needed
          To enter and modify data:

          Net Zero Cloud Manager

          OR

          Net Zero Cloud Admin

          Important
Important Only the user who created the record or who has Modify All Records access to the record can view or modify the record, including to lock or unlock the record. To enable a user to view or modify records created by other users, your Salesforce administrator must enable the Modify All Records access for the user on the required objects. For more information about setting permissions, see Troubleshoot Object and Record Access Issues.

To lock or unlock a record:

          1. In the footprint tab, select a footprint record.
          2. From the actions menu, select Lock.
            Note
Note Users who don’t have the Modify All Records access to the required objects can’t see the Lock action in the actions menu.

The locking process synchronously locks all the associated energy use or generated waste records also. To change data or to recalculate values, unlock the footprint record.
