          Use Programs and Initiatives with Net Zero Cloud

          Support your organization’s sustainability goals by creating programs and initiatives, and then associating them to assets. Track your sustainability efforts, capture and measure performance by analyzing actual results vs. targets of your efforts, to help decarbonize and achieve the science-based targets that your company has set.

          1. To track your organization’s work to decrease greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions or increase the removal or storage of tCO2, create a sustainability program. When you create a program, select the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) category.
          2. Enroll emissions sources as participants in the program. A participant can be a stationary asset, a vehicle asset, a scope 3 emissions source, a supplier, or an account.
          3. Create initiatives to include in your decarbonization strategy. An initiative can be an Environmental, a Social, or a Governance initiative.
          4. Enroll emissions sources as participants in the program initiative. The program initiatives enrollment record connects your emission source and the program initiative.
          5. Create a library of indicators, map those indicators to what you’re measuring, and add time-bound baseline and target values to track your results against.
          6. Track your indicators for a performance period by using indicator results.
          7. To define the required tasks and document checklist items for your ESG strategy, create action plan templates. When you create an action plan template, select the Industries action plan type and Program or Program Initiative target objects.
          8. To track your progress, add action plan tasks. Use tasks to track your ESG programs and initiatives.

          Create an ESG Program Initiative

          Create the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives to include in your decarbonization strategy.

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Programs.
          2. Open the program to add the initiative to.
          3. In the Program Initiatives related list, click New.
          4. Enter the name of the program initiative.
          5. Select the type of initiative to include.
          6. Save your changes.

          Enroll Emissions Sources in a Program Initiative

          Enroll emissions sources as participants in the program initiative. An emissions source can be a stationary asset, vehicle asset, scope 3 emissions source, supplier, or account.

          1. From the App Launcher, find and select Programs.
          2. Open the program that you want to update.
          3. In the Program Initiatives related list, open the program initiative.
          4. In the Program Initiatives Enrollment related list, click New.
          5. Enter the name of the program initiative enrollment.
          6. Select either stationary asset environmental source, vehicle asset emissions source, scope 3 emissions source, supplier,  or an account.
          7. Save your changes.
