Enable Net Zero Cloud Features
Calculate carbon emissions and generate reports in Net Zero Cloud. You can choose which features to turn on.

Net Zero Cloud offers two org license editions to enable a specific set of features: Starter and Growth. Starter includes 100 user licenses and Growth includes 500 user licenses. Your organization can purchase additional Net Zero Cloud user licenses.
- From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Net Zero, and then select Net Zero Settings.
- Turn on Manage Carbon Accounting.

Turn on these Net Zero Cloud settings as needed.
Net Zero Cloud Setting Description Starter License Growth License Manage Building Energy Intensity Search for and calculate building energy intensities, and use them to fill data gaps. √ √ Manage Data Gaps Identify and fill energy-related data gaps automatically. √ √ Manage Scope 3 Procurement Hub Manage procurement categories and map them to standard procurement emission categories.
√ Manage Emissions Target Set company-level targets for emissions based on the emissions activity and by year. √ Manage Carbon Emissions Forecast Forecast emissions for future years based on advanced account forecasting. √ Manage Waste-Related Data Track waste-related data and calculate the related emissions and footprint. √ Manage Supplier Sustainability Data Collaborate with suppliers and track their sustainability data. √
Requires the External Engagement Management add-on license.
Allocate Scorecard Emissions Based on Spent Amount Allocate the final scorecard emissions based on the ratio of the procurement item's spent amount and the total spent amount. √ Allocate Carbon Credits Allocate carbon credits to offset the unavoidable emissions. √ Manage Water Accounting Track water-related activities, such as consumption, withdrawal, and discharge. √ Manage Environmental, Social, and Governance Programs Manage environmental, social, and governance initiatives to track progress and measure the impact on reducing emissions. √ Store Calculation Metadata for Calculation Export Store calculation metadata used for calculation export. This feature increases the CPU usage while updating energy use records and can affect the performance of Apex code that updates these records.
To populate the calculation detail in existing energy use records, perform a recalculation on the record. See Export Carbon Calculations.

Organizational Boundaries: Two-Level Organizational Hierarchy Extend the organizational boundaries to set hierarchy for carbon accounting and social and governance data reporting within an organization's structure to one level of child organizations, enabling two levels of organizational hierarchy.
Partners, such as portfolio companies, can provide their consumption data by using Experience Cloud.
Salesforce recommends that you don’t turn off this setting in case carbon data relates to various accounts. If you must turn off this feature, make sure that you remove the account name from the emissions source and inventory records.

Organizational Boundaries: Multilevel Organizational Hierarchy Extend the organizational boundaries to set hierarchy for carbon accounting and social and governance data reporting within an organization's structure to multiple levels of child organizations. Partners, such as portfolio companies, can provide their consumption data by using Experience Cloud.
You can't turn this setting off after you turn it on.

After you turn on the Net Zero Cloud settings, confirm that the relevant tab is visible in the Lightning Experience App Launcher and navigation menus. See Tab Settings.
