Create a Custom Object
This task only applies if you need to create a new custom object for a State Model.
To create the example Report_Card__c object:
- In Lightning Experience, click the gear icon. Select Setup from the menu.
- Click Object Manager.
- Click Create and select Custom Object.

Specify the following settings. Leave other settings at their defaults.

Report Card
Plural Label
Report Cards
Allow Search
(checked)
Launch New Custom Tab Wizard after saving this custom object
(checked)
- Click Save.
- On the New Custom Object Tab page, click the Tab Style field.
- On the Tab Style Selector, select Books.
- Click Next twice, then click Save.
