          Learn About Outbound Engagement

Use outbound engagements to communicate with your target audience. For example, you can use outbound engagements to send promotion emails to a target audience that include customers, partners, leads, or referrals.

Outbound Engagement comes with preconfigured communication templates for different business purposes and the templates are tied to a Data Cloud segment or event, and embedded to a page in the org. Based on the company's communication requirements and style, users can customize and personalize the template content. The templates that are available in your org depend on your Salesforce licenses.

          • How Outbound Engagement Works
Outbound engagement follows a process that enables effective communication with your target audience. The process begins with launching the engagement initiative, where you select a suitable template to serve as the foundation for your message. Next, you create a campaign that defines your target audience, ensuring your message reaches the right people. The campaign is associated with a flow and a corresponding event. You then customize the communication to tailor it to your audience's needs and preferences. After the outbound engagement setup is complete, the communication goes out automatically based on the triggering event.
