Price Adjustment Schedules are a key feature within Salesforce Pricing, designed to
facilitate dynamic pricing models. They move beyond static, fixed pricing by allowing for the
automatic calculation and adjustment of prices based on various criteria. This enables
businesses to implement flexible pricing strategies tailored to specific conditions.
For instance, you can set up tiered pricing based on the quantity purchased, apply
adjustments based on specific features or characteristics of a product, or define special
pricing for combined products within a bundle. Ultimately, Price Adjustment Schedules help
determine the final price of a product or service by applying relevant discounts, overrides,
or other adjustments under specified conditions.
There are three types of price adjustment schedules.
Price Adjustment Tiers: Use this adjustment to
define a product’s price based on the number of items being sold.
Attribute Based Adjustments: Use this adjustment to
define a product’s price based on its attributes or the configuration of a product.
Bundle Based Adjustments: Use this adjustment to
define a product’s price when it's being sold as a bundle or a combination of different
products.
