Faceted search improves the search experience by allowing users to refine search results
using multiple criteria, such as price, brand, or color. This feature lets customers quickly
narrow down extensive product catalogs to find exactly what they need with fewer clicks. By
simplifying the discovery process, faceted search saves users time and effort, ensuring greater
search accuracy and efficiency, particularly in large catalogs.
Standard or custom fields on the Product object can be filterable. Additionally, you
can make the fields that are common to the Product Attribute Definition object and Product
Classification Attribute objects filterable.
Facets are nothing but filters. Facets that
you configure are rendered as filters on product discovery product list page.
Note
Only Boolean, pick list, and multipicklist fields are filterable.
Configure Filterable Fields & Attributes Specify the fields and attributes that your sales reps can use as filters on the product discovery product list page. By configuring filterable fields and attributes, you help sales reps quickly narrow down search results to find the products they need.
Configure the Number of Facets Displayed You can now define a facet limit to control the number of dynamic facets shown on your Product Discovery list page. In addition, you can also define the number of values shown for each facet. This feature overrides the default display, ensuring only the specified number of facets are visible.
Verify the Facets on the Product Discovery Product List Page Now that we have set up filterable fields and attributes, let's check the facets on the product discovery product list page. We want to see how the search experience has changed with the facets configured.
Configure Dynamic Product Facets With Dynamic Product Facets, your users can find products faster on the Product Discovery List page. Dynamic Product Facets automatically selects, orders, and shows the most relevant facets, including the category facet.
