Permission Customization
To make sure that users always have the latest default permissions, we recommend the use of permission set groups instead of cloning permission sets. If you customize Product Catalog Management, for example, by adding fields, create a custom permission set. To remove user permissions from the default permission set, create a muting permission set. Then, create and use permission set groups to assign the prebuilt Product Catalog Management permission sets and your custom permission sets.
