            To enforce good practices and consistency when you enter data, add validation rules. To analyze your Program Management data, create report types and reports.

            Required Editions

            Available in: Education Cloud, Nonprofit Cloud, and Public Sector Solutions. View edition availability.
            User Permissions Needed
            To customize Program Management objects:

            Advanced Program Management permission set

            OR

            Education Cloud Full Access permission set
            To create validation rules: Customize Application user permission
            To create and update report types: Manage Custom Report Types user permission
            To create, edit, and delete reports in private folders: Create and Customize Reports user permission
            To create, edit, and delete reports in public and private folders:

            Report Builder system permission

            OR

            Report Builder (Lightning Experience) user permission

            The Program Cohort and Benefit Schedule objects have fields related to the number of participants. To make sure that the Maximum Member Count remains more than or equal to the Current Member Count, a field that summarizes the number of participants in the cohort, configure a validation rule. You can do the same for the Maximum Participant Count on Benefit Schedule. For more information, see Validation Rules.

            After you create validation rules that ensure good data hygiene, create reports that analyze data and provide insight into your organization's program management work. Start by creating custom report types for Program Management objects. For example, to see accounts that have enrolled in programs, create a custom report type with Accounts as the primary object and Program Enrollments as the next object in the object relationship hierarchy.
