Explore the steps to integrate Amazon S3 with Salesforce to access and upload files.
The setup is divided into two key steps: File Access and File Upload. You can assign permissions
to control which users can only access files and which users have permission to both access and
upload them.
Before you connect to Salesforce, you must configure your external data storage
system. This setup process involves creating an S3 bucket, along with IAM users, roles,
and policies.
Step 1: Set Up File Access
First, set up file access so users can link files from Amazon S3 to a Salesforce
record. This step requires you to assign the correct permissions to admins and business
users and to set up the Salesforce connection to Amazon S3.
Step 2: Set Up File Upload
Lets users upload files directly to Amazon S3 from Salesforce. To enable this feature,
you must assign specific user permissions and verify that the file upload path meets
your requirements.
