          User Permissions Needed
To set up and use Action Plans: Action Plans permission set

Action Plans contain sets of tasks or checklist items that you can use to track and automate processes with repeatable steps. You can assign each task a priority, a deadline, and an owner, making it easy to collaborate among reviewers, inspectors, caseworkers, and other team members. Create Action Plan Templates with tasks for recurring processes, and then assign and customize the plans as necessary.

Use action plans to define and track:

          • Assessment tasks, questions, and signature tasks for inspections and dynamic assessments
          • Due diligence tasks such as collecting audited financials from grant recipients
          • Volunteer tasks for emergency program management
          • Employee onboarding requirements
          • Tasks associated with determining benefit eligibility
          • Application review steps
          • Preparation and follow-up tasks from meetings and engagements with constituents

Here are the high-level tasks to grant users access to action plans.

          For internal users:

          • Assign the Action Plans permission set.
          • Set up the Document Tracking and Approvals feature, if necessary.
          • Enable access to the Action Plan, Action Plan Template, Document Checklist Item, and Recurrence Schedule objects on the user's profiles.

For constituents or partners on Experience Cloud sites:

          • Enable access to the Action Plan, Action Plan Template, and Document Checklist Item, and Recurrence Schedule objects on the customer or partner community profiles.
          • Create a permission set based on Licensing and Permitting Management For Communities or Benefit Assistance For Communities permission set license, depending on the use case. In the permission set, make sure that the Action Plans feature permission is enabled.

See License and Permit Site Prerequisites and Benefit Assistance Site Prerequisites.
