Simplify the evidence collection process by using a guided flow in the Custody Items
tab in Casework Overview, a predefined case record page. Specify custody item details, custodian
details, and select the related regulatory code violations for the custody item, all in a single
workflow.
For every custody item that you add to a case from Casework Overview, a custody item relation
is created. Based on your inputs, related custody chain entry and custody item regulatory code
violation records are also created.
If you independently create a custody item record, you must manually create a custody item
relation record to link the custody item to a case or a case proceeding. Create individual
records for each regulatory code violation and each custody chain entry related to the custody
item.
Create a Custody Item Create a custody item to track physical or digital evidence in a case or case proceeding.
