Help your sales reps create contracts directly from finalized records by using the New
Contract button on the Quote or Order pages. This configuration streamlines the sales process by
automatically copying essential details, such as the account name and start date, from the
source record to the New Contract.

Important Review your order status before attempting to create a contract. You
link contracts only to draft orders. You can’t create a contract for an activated order.
Note The New Contract button and the Create
Contract button serve different purposes. The New
Contract button creates a contract that inherits details from the source
record. The Create Contract button is the standard Salesforce action
that creates a basic contract without inheriting transaction details. To create contracts
with Agentforce Revenue Management data, use the New Contract button.
In Setup, select Object Manager.
Search for and select Quote or Order.
Go to Page Layouts.
Either create a page layout or select the page layout to modify.
In the Quote Layout or Order Layout section, select
Buttons.
Select and drag New Contract from the palette to the Salesforce
Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section.
Save your changes.
Contracts created by using the New Contract button have the Agentforce Revenue Management
application usage tag assigned by default.
