Sell products that are billed based on the consumption. When you create quotes and
orders, you can view, edit, and reprice the rates, commitments, and grants for resources
included in the usage-based products to fit your deal.
Set Up Usage Selling in Revenue Cloud Before you begin selling usage-based products and services, make sure that you’ve completed the required set up. You must define usage products, resources, and the grants, commitments, and entitlements offered with the products. Define policies that govern these products and services. Then, set up rates for each of these products and services.
Usage Selling Advanced Concepts Determine the scope of resource pooling with grant binding, and manage resource consumption and rating using anchors and packs. You can also define drawdown logic, rate applicability rules, and discounted commitment models.
Build a Quote for Usage-Based Products Create quotes for usage-based products that meet your customer’s needs. Review the resources included with the product, including the granted quantity and rates.
Sell Commitment-Based Usage Products For selling commitment-based usage products, a sales rep must follow a three-step process—creating the anchor product, creating the commitment product, and linking the anchor and commitment products together.
