Considerations while creating a Retail Store KPI:
- One Assessment Task Definition can be associated with multiple Assessment Indicator Definitions. For an Assessment Indicator Definition, there can be one or more Retail Store KPIs.
- There’s no restriction on which Assessment Indicator Definitions can be associated with an Assessment Task Definition.
- If you have two Retail Store KPIs with the same Assessment Indicator Definition, product, retail store group and KPI Type and use them for a visit against the same retail store. One of the Retail Store KPI is treated duplicate and only one Retail Visit KPI is generated.
- If you have two Retail Store KPIs with the same Assessment Indicator Definition, product, and retail store group but different KPI Type. In that case, one Retail Visit KPI for each of the Retail Store KPIs is generated. Even a blank KPI Type is treated as a unique combination.
- If a Retail Store is a part of two Retail Store Groups and a Retail Store KPI is associated with each Retail Store Group. Based on the priority associated with store assignment to the Retail Store Group, the Retail Store KPI associated with the Retail Store Group of higher priority is considered.
- KPI type is a pick list in RSKPI and is used in planogram Check.
- From the App Launcher, find and open Retail Store KPIs , and then click New.
-
Select these options.
Retail Store Group Required because KPIs can’t be defined at a store level. In-Store Location Category Required if all in-store locations across the store group in this category must inherit the KPI. Product Required if you have inventory check tasks for the store group. -
Select the assessment indicator definition that you’re defining the targets for.
Note If you plan to associate more than one inventory check, planogram check, or promotion check tasks in one action plan template, ensure that while defining the Retail Store KPI for the same task type, you assign different assessment indicator definitions. If two tasks of the same type have the same assessment indicator, and are assigned to the same action plan template, duplicate Retail Visit KPI records are generated. - Select the unit of measure for capturing actual values against the assessment indicator definition targets.
-
Select a KPI type for defining the business type of the assessment indicator
definition:
- Facing
- Share of Shelf
- Out of Stock
- Inventory
- Price
- Revenue
KPI Type is also used to determine key performance metrics such as Avg Facing Compliance, Avg Out-of-Stock Compliance, or Avg Price Compliance. See Calculate Key Performance Indicators for more information on the key performance metrics.
Note There’s no correlation between the Task type of Assessment Task Definition Task and KPI Type of Retail Store KPI. -
Enter the dates for these fields.
- Effective From: The date that the target’s validity begins.
- Effective To: The date that the validity of the target ends.
- To associate KPI information for a product category, select the product category.
- Depending on the check task, select a planogram or a promotion.
-
For a custom task, select an object in Custom Context, and then select a record for the
object.
Note You can select any standard or custom object to create a custom task if the task’s HasActivities attribute is enabled. To identify an object with the HasActitvities attribute enabled, check if the object is listed as related to the Task object. -
Define the target value for the assessment indicator.
If you have an active sales agreement, targets are automatically filled. Otherwise, you can enter the targets in number, boolean, date time, decimal, and text formats.
-
Select the data types for these KPIs:
- Share of Shelf: Decimal
- Facing: Number
- Out of Stock: Boolean
- Save your changes.
