Use filters such as country, state, primary industry, account type, account name, category
name, product name, and report date to focus your analysis on specific segments or periods.
The dashboard includes two tabs: Revenue and Margin, allowing you to analyze changes from
either a revenue or margin perspective. You can further refine your analysis by selecting a
specific time period for comparison.
Revenue Tab
Key Metrics and Values: Shows key metrics such as previous revenue, price increase, price
decrease, volume increase, volume decrease, and mix, helping users understand the factors
influencing current revenue levels
Price Volume Mix Details Table: The table shows detailed breakdowns for each product,
including previous revenue, price increase, price decrease, volume increase, volume decrease,
mix change, and current revenue.
Margin Tab
Key Metrics and Values: Shows key metrics such as previous margin, price increase, price
decrease, volume increase, volume decrease, mix, cost increase and decrease, and current
margin. This allows users to analyze the margin impact from price, volume, and mix
changes.
Price Volume Mix Details Table: The table shows detailed breakdowns for each product,
including previous margin, price increase, price decrease, volume increase, volume decrease,
mix change, and current margin.
Example A Financial Analyst wants to understand why a particular product line’s margin dropped
last quarter. By using the Price Volume Mix Dashboard, they can drill down into the factors of
price changes, volume fluctuations, and product mix shifts to pinpoint the cause of the margin
decline.
