Define the rules that are used to rate the consumption of a group of usage resources
within a product. If the customer consumes the usage resource beyond the granted limits or
period, specific rates are applied.
To define rates on the consumption quantity based on consumption tiers and the rate-impacting
attributes of the usage resource, use rate card entries. Each entry is linked to one rate card
and these rate card entries are effective until the specified effective dates. Manage the
lifecycle of your rate card entries using the Status field, which allows you to set entries as
draft, active, or inactive. You can transition draft entries to either active or inactive.
Additionally, you can deactivate active entries or reactivate them as needed.
Create a Rate Card A rate card defines the group of rules that are applicable to rate the usage resources granted with the sold product.
Rate Card Entries Use rate card entries to set rates and rate adjustments that are used to calculate and control the final net rate of each usage resource. The setup ensures that your deals are accurately rated. To make sure products are accurately charged during usage selling, define the pricing for your products in both standard currency and tokens.
