          Components of the Sync Process

Configure the sync process using the Sync Management app.

          Required Editions

          Available in: Lightning Experience

Available in: Agentforce 1, Einstein 1, Enterprise, and Unlimited editions with Consumer Goods Cloud Retail Execution and Agentforce for Consumer Goods Cloud add-on licenses.

The components of a sync process are:

          • Client: Refers to the JavaScript part of the mobile framework.
          • Server: Refers to APEX, Standard REST APIs, and custom APEX REST APIs.

Data sync depends on Standard Salesforce REST APIs and Custom APEX REST APIs.

Use tracked objects and named fetched trees to ensure that mobile devices receive only the data that is required to support your business. You can choose to sync data multiple times a day. But maintain a balance between supporting your business and syncing frequency because each sync uses API calls and network bandwidth.
